A Plastic Free Story

Once upon a time the planet was suffering from extreme plastic pollution. Humans needed to pull together to protect the place they call home. Unfortunately the time is now. Make a change before it's too late.

Our story started on one Tuesday evening 2018 after watching 'Our Planet' with Sir David Attenborough. We were shocked to see that our oceans are becoming so full of plastic, it is endangering the wildlife and ruining our beautiful coastlines. We felt appalled, ashamed and guilty. Guilty of using unnecessary plastic and guilty of ignorance. We assumed that we were doing the right thing by recycling our plastic waste but this was not enough. In our bathroom alone, we counted 15 unnecessary plastic bottles including;  shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face scrubs etc. We couldn't believe how much plastic we used without even thinking about it. From then on we vowed to never use unnecessary plastic again. 

I use the word 'unnecessary' intentionally as unfortunately, try as we may, there is not a plastic-free alternative for everything... yet.

We wanted to help others start their plastic free journey. I had come across shampoo bars in a big high street store but the overpowering smell and ingredients put me off purchasing. After doing a lot of research (although it didn't take long as it was proudly written all over the website), I found that they were using SLS and palm oil in most of their products. Palm oil is not good for our planet and SLS is not good for our skin or hair. This is when and why Rush Organics was born. 

Rush Organics is 100% plastic free from products to packaging. We don't use any nasties like palm oil, SLS or parabens.

Although the shampoo bar has been around for years, and older generations will remember using soap for their hair, people are becoming increasingly aware of their impact on the environment. Bars of shampoo, conditioner and soaps are the future. We will replace plastic bottles and change the way we wash our hair. 

All our products are handmade with natural organic ingredients.

All of our products are 100% Vegan.

All our products are FREE from Sodium Laureth Sulphate (SLS), parabens, palm oil, propylene glycol and silicone.

None of our products are tested on animals.
